Tips for bikini season

I know it's winter, but for those of you flying somewhere warm for the holidays, you might want a look see. Plus it's never too early to prepare.

If you were wondering where she got that custom made Bob Marley one-piece she wore in Barbados, head over to We Are Handsome, an Australian swimwear brand. They're not your average, striped string bikinis, rather canvases for graphic prints such as palm trees and sunsets, animals, jewels, peacock feathers and stars. The bikinis are cute, but the one-pieces are definitely more eye catching with more space to showcase their one-of-a-kind prints.

I think many will agree with me when I say that the first time getting into a bikini in summer is terrifying. Fear not: If you don't feel ready just yet, Spanx is making swimwear that not only smooths everything out, but looks really cute too. The one-pieces are quite versatile because you can use them as regular Spanx with a skirt or shorts.

A friend actually gave me this tip. Because you're covered up in jeans and sweaters, you can grow everything out and get it taken care of without anyone noticing. Even better, if there's any lingering redness or bad reactions, you won't have to worry about hitting the beach anytime soon.

Keep hair shiny

I love the sun because it gives my hair natural highlights. The downside: It has the texture of straw. To keep thirsty hair looking its best, use a hair mask in the shower. I like Garnier Fructis Nutri-Repair 3 Ultra-Nourishing Butter Mask since you only have to wear it for five minutes before washing it off.
