No place like home

After about three months away at University in England, I'm finally home for Christmas. I feel like The Wizard of Oz's Dorothy when she wakes up back in Kansas. You're all here! And I'm never leaving home ever, ever again!

For the cynics who can't believe I'm comparing Britain to Oz, you obviously haven't seen London's Winter Wonderland.

It's just like Emerald City. Except there are no color-changing ponies. And it's freezing.

As luck would have it, I came down with a fever my first night home. And as much as I love being on my own, it's a nice change to be taken care of by my parents again.

We've been spending family time together, like watching The Five-Year Engagement. ...And it was terrible.

Even our bunny's excited my sister and I are home. He acts more like a puppy than a rabbit, so he does things like stand up on his hind legs and run in circles around yours. Our cat was so excited she gave us the silent treatment for three straight hours.

Even more exciting, I'm going to be 21 next week. I suddenly feel like I have to get my act together, since I can't use "being young" as an excuse anymore for stuff. Not that it ever counted as an excuse to begin with.
